What is the participant registry?
The participant registry is collection of people interested in testing different education materials for a variety of health topics. You must be 18 years old or older to enroll in the participant registry.

What happens when I enroll?
• When you enroll you will be asked to provide consent agreeing to be part of the registry and to be contacted about research studies that are conducted by the Decision Support Lab.

• You will also be asked to complete a brief questionnaire that will help us identify you as an eligible participant for different research studies.

Why should I enroll in the database?
Enrolling in the registry lets us know you want to share your thoughts, ideas and opinions on different education materials.

Do I have to participate in every study I am asked to join?
No, enrollment does not mean you must participate in every research study you are asked to join. You may decide not to participate in a research study or ask to have your name removed from the registry at anytime.

Will I be paid for enrolling in the registry?
You will not be paid for enrolling in the registry, however, some research studies that use the Decision Support Lab may compensate people who participate in their study.

What will research studies be like at the DSL?
Research studies at the Decision Support Lab can be done several different ways. Two examples of research studies conducted at the DSL are:
1. Asking a group of participants to watch a video together and comment on different features of the video.

2. Have an individual use a computer program and make comments or answers questions about their experience using the program.

In most cases, the average amount of time for these studies is 2 hours or less.
