GrantSource Library Research Abstracts
Database
From UNC-University of North Carolina
From the web site: "The GrantSource Library collects grant abstracts submitted to the Office of Research Services by current
UNC-CH researchers. Researchers submit these abstracts when they prepare a proposal for external funding, so not all research
projects on campus are represented here. The abstracts are scanned and placed into a database, which can be searched below.
Search by subject keyword, department name, or researcher name."
HSRProj (Health Services Research Projects in Progress)
HSRProj contains descriptions of research in progress funded by federal and private grants and contracts for use by policy
makers, managers, clinicians, and other decision makers. It provides access to information about health services research in
progress before results are available in a published form. Records cover both grants and contracts awarded by major public and
private funding agencies and foundations. Users can retrieve names of performing and sponsoring agencies, names and addresses
of the principal investigator, beginning and ending years of the project, information about study design and methodology
including demographic characteristics of the study group, number of subjects in the study population, population base of the
study sample, and source of the project data. Records are indexed with NLM's (National Library of Medicine) Medical Subject
Headings (MeSH) and, when available, NIH's (National Institutes of Health) CRISP (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects) keywords.
Also, project descriptions are included whenever possible. HSRProj is a joint effort of AcademyHealth and the Cecil G. Sheps Center at the University of
North Carolina with funding from the NLM.

The Leapfrog Group Incentive and
Reward Compendium
The Leapfrog Group has developed a free compendium of incentive and reward (also called 'pay for performance') programs aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of health care providers. The Compendium documents and categorizes financial programs, such as those that reward providers with quality bonuses, and non-financial programs, such as those that reward providers with public recognition. Most of these programs are initiated by health plans, purchasers and purchasing coalitions to target hospitals, physicians, health plans and consumers. You can search and sort programs by location and program target as
well as by keyword.

projects, maintained by library staff at the Sheps Center.
NIH Research Portfolio Online Reporting Tool (RePORTER)
A replacement resouce for CRISP (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects). NIH-funded research in progress. The information found in RePORTER is drawn from several extant databases--eRA databases, Medline, PubMed Central, the NIH Intramural Database, and iEdison--using newly-formed linkages among these disparate data sources. The comprehensiveness of these databases varies, as does the quality of the linkages formed among them.
