Seminar on February 23 will address Medicaid policy and implementing prevention research findings

On February 23, the NRSA seminar will host two outside speakers of special interest. The seminar is open to the public and University staff and students are encouraged to attend. Both speakers will present in the DeFriese Conference Room (Room 150) at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research.

 

From 3-4pm, Genevieve Kenney will talk about Medicaid policy under the ACA.

Genevieve M. Kenney, Ph.D. is Co-Director and a senior fellow in the Health Policy Center of the Urban Institute.  In her current research, she is examining the implications of the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid coverage of family planning services, and state efforts to enroll more children and adults in Medicaid and CHIP.

 

From 4-5pm, Linda Kinsinger will talk about Implementing prevention research findings

Linda S. Kinsinger, M.D., M.P.H., is Chief Consultant for Preventive Medicine, Office of Patient Care Services and Director of the VHA National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. She works in the development of clinical policies and programs related to health promotion, clinical preventive services, health education and information, and weight management.
