Program on Aging, Disability, and Long-term Care team members Philip Sloane, Sheryl Zimmerman, Lauren Cohen, and David Reed have published the results of a pilot study to evaluate the Mouth Care Without a Battle training program.  Findings indicate that as few as 8 weeks of mouth care can significantly improve oral hygiene outcomes in older adults residing in nursing homes.  Study details available at:  Sloane, PD, Zimmerman S, Chen X, Barrick AL, Poole P, Reed D, Mitchell CM, Cohen LW.
