Dr. Emily Ray is a hematology-oncology fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she serves as one of the chief fellows. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Duke University and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where she completed her undergraduate, public health, and medical degrees. Dr. Ray’s research focuses on cancer outcomes with a particular interest in improving access to and quality of oncologic care. She has been awarded a research grant by the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina to study utilization of healthcare among patients with advanced lung cancer, and holds a Lineberger Developmental Award for her research investigating patterns of care for patients with brain metastases in North Carolina. Her clinical focus is on solid tumor oncology with a particular interest in lung cancer.
