Hilary Campbell, PharmD, JD is the Director of Sheps Health Workforce NC and the North Carolina Health Professions Data System; she leads state health workforce initiatives within the Program on Health Workforce Research and Policy.
Dr. Campbell holds a JD from Duke Law School and a PharmD with a focus on health policy and management from the UC San Francisco. She completed her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in Nutrition Science: Metabolism & Physiology. She has experience in academic health policy research, claims data analysis, course development/teaching, health system in-house legal services, and state health agency operations.
Prior to joining the Sheps Center, Dr. Campbell worked in research, education, and operations at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy; she also recently served as the Acting Special Assistant to the Chief Data Officer of the NC Department of Health and Human Services. She was the 2015-2016 Health Law Fellow at the Duke Office of Counsel, and is a licensed pharmacist (MI) and attorney (CA).
