Join us for a special panel presentation about the inner workings of an interdisciplinary team. We’ll hear from the co-directors and staff of the Durham VA Medical Center’s Interprofessional Fellowship on Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery. This post-graduate training program prepares mental health providers from all disciplines to deliver advanced mental health and substance use disorders interventions, and to become future leaders in systems change. The Fellowship is the first of its kind to provide intensive interdisciplinary training to occupational therapists and chaplains.

We’ll discuss what it means to work on an interdisciplinary team, the different perspectives each profession bring to the table, communication and language differences between disciplines, and the roles occupational therapists and chaplains fill in the mental health realm.
