Health Workforce Technical Assistance Center
The Health Workforce Technical Assistance Center, or HWTAC, is a partnership between the Program on Health Workforce Research and Policy at the Sheps Center, and the Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS) at the School of Public Health at SUNY-Albany. Through this partnership, which is housed at CHWS, we provide technical assistance to states and organizations that wish to engage in data collection, analysis and dissemination in an effort to improve health workforce planning efforts. Current initiatives for 2014-15 include tailored assistance to states and national organizations, a series of webinars, an inventory of state health workforce data collection efforts, a health workforce research guide, and guidance on rapid cycle quality improvement.
HWTAC team members at the Sheps Center include Katie Gaul, Deputy Director, HWTAC; Erin Fraher; and Tom Bacon.

The Health Workforce Technical Assistance Center is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under grant number U81HP26492, a Cooperative Agreement for a Regional Center for Health Workforce Studies.
