Bianca Allison Receives 2026–2027 Junior Faculty Development Award
The Sheps Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Bianca Allison, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine and researcher with the Child & Adolescent Health Services Program at Sheps, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026–2027 Junior Faculty Development Award.
The annual awards, funded by IBM and R.J. Reynolds Industries, Inc., provide competitive support for early‑career faculty to advance their research and scholarly work. Recipients receive funding to be used during the academic year beginning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
Allison is among a group of faculty members across the University recognized for their promise and productivity in research, teaching, and innovation. The Junior Faculty Development Awards program is designed to strengthen faculty success and encourage long‑term professional growth at Carolina.
