ShepsGME Technical Assistance Center

ShepsGME Technical Assistance Center supports the creation and sustainability of graduate medical education in rural and underserved settings through technical assistance, research, and policy analysis.
We run two federal technical assistance centers supporting the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Rural Residency Planning and Development and Teaching Health Center programs. Our NCGME Technical Assistance Center supports development and vitality of programs in high need specialties in rural and underserved North Carolina. Through individual state contracts, StateGME provides strategic assistance in the creation and implementation of comprehensive state-based efforts to expand the physician workforce.
