New briefs analyze hospital claims data on opioid poisoning visits in North Carolina

August 10, 2017 – Sheps Center researchers analyzed North Carolina hospital claims data related to opioid poisoning visits for state fiscal years 2012 and 2015. These analyses provide a broader view of the state’s opioid epidemic than what can be seen in mortality data.
