Glenn Wilson, who died last month, was one of the founders of health services research at UNC.  He was the founding chair of the Dept of Social Medicine and longtime supporter of the Sheps Center for Health Services Research, and many of its current investigators.  Into his 80’s, remained as astute observer of the US health care system. Or as Glenn would say, ‘what passes for a health care system.’  We’ll miss him. He’ll want us to continue our work, with a focus on access for all, yet also an eye toward improving the efficiency of a large and cumbersome system.  The public is invited.
