UNC-Duke Analysis of Opioid Use in NC Shows Progress, Continued Challenges
Researchers from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, with support from Arnold Ventures, have just published a white paper titled “Prescription Opioid Use and Medications to Treat Opioid Use Disorder in North Carolina Medicaid: 2013-2018”. A new analysis finds that while progress is being made in North Carolina’s opioid epidemic, more focus is needed on access to treatment among Medicaid enrollees with Opioid Use Disorder.
