Closing the Quality Gap Series: Medication Adherence Interventions- Comparative Effectiveness

The purpose of this project was to synthesize evidence regarding the efficacy and effectiveness of interventions to improve medication adherence among adults across a broad array of chronic conditions. This report is part of a larger initiative, the Closing the Quality Gap: Revisiting the State of the Science series. This series builds on the AHRQ 2004–07 collection of publications, Closing the Quality Gap: A Critical Analysis of Quality Improvement Strategies, which summarized the evidence on quality improvement strategies for chronic conditions.
