We are excited to announce our keynote speaker, Dr. Susan White, Executive Director of North Carolina Sea Grant, North Carolina Space Grant, and UNC Water Resources Research Institute. Our two expert panels, “Climate Change Communication” and “Rural Disaster Recovery and Hurricane Matthew,” will bring together leading practitioners, researchers, local government representatives, and community organizers for rich discussion about climate change, hazards, and resilience in 2018. The Symposium will also include a Student Research Poster Session to showcase climate change and resilience-related research. Students (grad/undergrad), postdocs, faculty, and staff members are encouraged to submit a poster. Cash prizes of $400, $200, and $200 will be awarded to the top student (grad/undergrad) posters. Event information.
