Dr. Parth Shah receives prestigious Distinguished Dissertation Award

AHRQ NRSA Postdoctoral Trainee, Parth Shah, PhD, received the 2018 Dean’s Distinguished Dissertation Award in the area of Social Sciences.  Dr. Shah was recognized and presented with a plaque at The Graduate School’s Annual Graduate Student Recognition Celebration on April 5th in front of family, friends, and colleagues. This honor was awarded based on the originality and significance of Dr. Shah’s research, The Role of Pharmacy in HPV Vaccination of U.S. Adolescents.  Dr. Shah received his PhD from the Gillings School of Global Public Health, Department of Health Behavior in August 2017.  The Graduate School may submit Dr. Shah’s dissertation to the Council of Graduate Schools/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award competition as UNC-Chapel Hill’s nomination for best dissertation nationwide.  Congratulations, Parth on this excellent achievement!
