On Friday, December 2, 2016 12:00-1:30 p.m. in the DeFriese Conference Room, Rep. Josh Dobson (NC House District 85), Rep. Graig Meyer (NC House District 50), and Anita Brown-Graham (UNC School of Government) will participate in a panel discussion on “Connecting Data to Policy: How to Get Legislators to Pay Attention to Your Research” as part of the Program on Health Workforce Research and Policy Seminar Series at the Sheps Center.
How do you get your research findings in front of policymakers? How and when are data used in the policymaking process? Join us for a facilitated discussion with two state legislators and a statewide civic engagement leader/consensus builder. We will explore the role of evidence in policy development and practical ways for researchers to engage with policymakers.
