Seminar Description: Oral health is closely tied to general health. Yet in education, practice, and policy, oral health is treated separately. Non-dental providers can have a key role in improving oral health and providing preventive oral health services, especially when people lack access to a dentist. Dental providers can provide screening, monitoring, and preventive health services when access to medical care is limited. This seminar will include examples of innovative programs that integrate oral health services and primary care practices.
