Primary Care Research Fellowship Application Process

 

Applicants to the Primary Care Research Fellowship Program at the Sheps Center will be accepted beginning in August 2018 and interviews will be offered to select applicants beginning in October 2018 for positions to begin July 2019. Position offers will be made on a rolling basis to strong applicants whose interests fit UNC’s programs and faculty.

 

Applicants are invited to contact the program director, Donald Pathman, MD, MPH, at don_pathman@unc.edu to discuss the program and answer questions.

 

A link to the application portal will be available in August 2018.

 

Other Requirements (upload through the Careers at Carolina website):

  • Up-to-date curriculum vitae and cover letter
  • Personal statement detailing your objectives in undertaking a research-oriented training fellowship and your proposed career direction after the fellowship
  • Submit two letters of recommendation on letterhead from persons familiar with your talents, interests, promise in research, and future directly to the program coordinator, Lindsay McCall at: lmccall@email.unc.edu
  • Please disregard any instructions on the Career at Carolina website regarding instructions for uploading certifications and licenses.  Those documents are not necessary.
